Vivant terroir wines from the hillside of the palatinate forest
Our vines are located in Leistadt, high up right on the edge of the Palatinate Forest. In our village has never been a land consolidation and we farm very small plots of land here. Most of our vineyards are located directly in the Berntal nature reserve.
We work ecologically on ca. 2.5 hectares with a focus on the typical varieties of our region: Riesling, Sylvaner, Portugieser and Traminer.
ALL WINES FERMENT NATURALLY IN OUR SMALL LIME VAULTED CELLAR
In addition to viticulture, we graze the Berntal nature reserve with our sheep. In this way, we ensure more species richness and promote the biodiverse mosaic of our cultural landscape.

NATURAL WINE?
On the question of “natural wine”:
Strictly speaking, there is no such thing. Wine is never born on its own – it is the result of human care, guiding the vine and accompanying the must as it becomes wine.
What defines us is how we do it: in the most natural way possible, exactly as each vintage teaches us anew. True craftsmanship, combined with perfectly healthy, ripe grapes, forms the essence of our work. And such grapes can only come from vineyards in perfect balance.
